Our story

The renewable company behind the install

Woodburn Renewables Ltd was set up to give homes and businesses across Cumbria a straightforward route to renewable heat and power — air source heat pumps, solar PV, and wood pellet boilers and stoves, installed by people who actually understand the mechanical and electrical side of the job.

Our team includes qualified mechanical engineers, plumbers and electricians, so a project doesn't get handed between separate subcontractors who've never met. The same people who survey your property are accountable for how the finished system performs.

We're a HETAS registered company, which means we can self-certify solid and biomass fuel installations as compliant with building regulations and issue the certificate directly — no separate building control sign-off needed for eligible work.

Working alongside Green Energy Engineering Ltd

Woodburn Renewables Ltd works in association with Green Energy Engineering Ltd (G.E.E.), a renewable energy engineering company with over two decades of experience delivering heat pump, solar PV and biomass systems across the UK and Ireland.

That relationship means the eco-airMAX, eco-aquaMAX and wider product range we install is backed by proper engineering standards, not just a supplier catalogue — and gives us access to design and technical support on more complex commercial and multi-unit projects.

20+Years G.E.E. experience
1,000+G.E.E. projects delivered

How we approach a project

01

Size it properly, not by price list

Every system is sized against a real heat-loss assessment of your property — not sold as a standard package regardless of the building.

02

One team, start to finish

Survey, design, installation and aftercare come from our own engineers, plumbers and electricians — not a chain of subcontractors.

03

Straight answers about grants

We'll tell you honestly what schemes your property may qualify for, and what the real numbers look like before you commit.

04

Support after the install

Controls talked through properly at handover, with servicing available afterwards rather than disappearing once the invoice is paid.
