Most homes replacing a fossil fuel boiler (oil, LPG or older gas systems) with an air source heat pump are eligible for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, which currently offers a fixed grant towards the cost. We'll check your eligibility as part of the free site survey and handle the paperwork if you qualify.
Sometimes, but not always. Heat pumps run at lower flow temperatures than a gas boiler, so some radiators need upsizing to keep rooms comfortable. We size this properly against a heat-loss survey rather than assuming — many well-insulated homes need little or no radiator work.
A domestic air source heat pump or pellet stove is usually a 1–3 day install once survey and design work is complete. Larger systems — pellet boilers, solar PV arrays, or commercial multi-technology projects — can take longer depending on scope. We'll give you a clear timeline before work starts.
